Transactional Printing with Robin Hood Energy

Launched by Nottingham City Council in 2015, Robin Hood Energy is the UK’s first local authority owned energy supply company. They offer energy for homes and businesses at low and competitive prices without the need for private shareholders or director bonuses.

The challenge

Robin Hood Energy identified the need for an experienced document automation partner to help it deliver printed transactional documents to its 4,000 non-paperless customers.

Like any energy provider, they had very strict criteria around data security and document accuracy when selecting their supplier. But as a new business, they required a print partner  that would be able to cope with a new and growing business.

They recognised document volumes could fluctuate quite widely as a fledgling business, and wanted to mitigate the risk of non-compliance with industry license conditions by teaming up with a specialist for day-critical mailings.
