Datagraphic’s Epay has been awarded the Shaw Trust Accessibility Accreditation

Epay Shaw Trust Accessibility Accreditation

Epay has recently been awarded the Shaw Trust Accessibility Accreditation, passing all assessments carried out in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 A and AA.

This means Datagraphic’s secure online employee communications portal is accessible, inclusive and user friendly for everyone.

Epay is designed to be used by as many people as possible. The text is clear and simple to understand, and you can:

  • zoom in up to 300% without problems,
  • navigate the website using just a keyboard,
  • navigate the website using speech recognition software,
  • use the website with a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver).

Other smaller tweaks and fixes have also been made to improve user experience and follow the standards.

The accessibility of Epay has been assessed by the following approaches: External evaluation by Shaw Trust

Shawtrust Accessible Certification For Epay WCAG 2.1 1021

Any website carrying this mark has been tested by people with a wide range of disabilities and found to be accessible.

Shaw Trust supports over 50,000 people a year throughout the UK and further afield so they can live independent and inclusive lives. Their Digital Accessibility Assessment is a rigorous testing process that thoroughly examines the accessibility of digital services and incorporates website accessibility testing on mobile and/or tablet devices, as well as on desktop computers.

Glyn King, Group Managing Director of Datagraphic comments:

“The support and advice from Shaw Trust has been instrumental in guiding our teams to achieve the Accessibility Accreditation for one of Datagraphic’s key services, Epay. It’s so important to us that our secure online portal, Epay, is accessible, inclusive and user friendly for everyone. We’ll continue to work with Shaw Trust to make sure Epay provides a high level of accessibility to everyone.
