Datagraphic is named as one of the first 5 Living Hours accredited organisations by the Living Wage Foundation.
Already a long-standing accredited Living Wage Employer, this month (April 2021) sees Rugby-based outbound communications provider, Datagraphic gain the Living Hours accreditation.
Living Hours – a new programme from the Living Wage Foundation – works alongside the Living Wage and calls on employers to provide workers with the right to:
Across the UK, millions of low paid workers struggle to get the hours they need to make ends meet. Datagraphic is proud to be the first in its industry to provide its workers with the security of hours alongside a real living wage.
Robert Hoon, Managing Director comments:
“Living hours is the right thing to do for every business. Every employee helps our business thrive, no matter where they work within the organisation. It’s therefore vital that individuals working for us have the security of knowing they have the regular hours and wages needed to help support their families.”
As part of its Living Hours accreditation, Datagraphic is also reaching out to suppliers to understand how their current staff contracts align with the Living Hours measures. It understands not all employers can offer employees Living Hours but believes the security of hours and notice periods is important to protecting workers from in-work poverty. It’s therefore encouraging its supplier network to consider the standard as a marker of best practice.
